The fully integrated battery creates a self-contained, particularly handy system without external cables or connectors. This design makes the Penta one of the smallest and most powerful headlamps in its class – ideal for use in confined spaces or as a daily companion.
Universal application thanks to multi-light image
Its compact design allows for use in a wide variety of situations: jogging, climbing, hiking, camping, or for everyday use as an EDC flashlight. The Penta also impresses when fishing or hunting with its glare-free red light, which preserves night vision and provides discreet illumination. The wide, even illumination of the main light creates a clear overview when setting up camp, on dark trails, or when working in the dark. Boost mode extends maximum visibility when precise illumination is required. This versatility makes the Penta a universal companion – from a spontaneous evening stroll to a challenging outdoor tour.
The Penta uses a multi-part lens system with optically precisely calculated TIR lenses. Specifically, it consists of a combination of a main lens with a focused spotlight and side diffuse lenses for a wide, homogenous light pattern. This system focuses the light from the five built-in LEDs—a central Cree XP-G2 for the spotlight and four Cree XQ-E Hi for the floodlight and red light functions—so that both range and close-range illumination are optimally balanced.
Light and robust at the same time
The aluminum housing (6061-T6) offers maximum stability with minimal weight. Weighing just 86 grams without the headband and measuring 62×46×30 millimeters, the lamp is barely noticeable, yet sits firmly and balanced on the head. The integrated battery not only ensures a particularly flat profile but also a high level of comfort – crucial for long tours or intense exercise.
Charging via USB-C, light up to 120 hours
The built-in lithium-ion battery (which can be easily replaced if necessary) is charged via USB-C and allows for up to 120 hours of runtime in economy mode. The lamp can also be operated while charging, making the Penta particularly practical for longer use. Efficient heat dissipation through the aluminum housing ensures efficient heat dissipation.
